The restaurant in West Street closed in March due to the nationwide lockdown and has remained closed even after restrictions were lifted across the country.
But now the company hopes to have the branch open ‘in the coming months,’ according to a spokeswoman from Burger King.

‘There are no plans to permanently close the West Street Fareham branch and we expect this restaurant to reopen in the coming months.
‘We thank our loyal staff and customers for their patience in the meantime.’
It comes as the American brand has hired consultancy firm AlixPartners to restructure the business in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, with 25 branches and 1,600 jobs at risk in the UK.

The chain is in the process of reopening its 530 UK branches, with restaurants now open in Commercial Road and Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth, as well as Park Road in Havant.
