Fareham curry houses reopen their doors after weeks of closure during lockdown
Several curry houses around the area have been reopening their doors over the last week, after being closed for several weeks due to the risk of coronavirus.
Sea Of Spice is an Indian restaurant and takeaway in Fareham that has been around for over 20 years, which closed for 10 weeks during the lockdown to ensure safety for both the staff and customers.

Owner James is also hoping to send 200 meals to those working hard at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham, as well as local care homes.
He said: ‘We were scared for ourselves and the customers and didn’t feel like it was safe to open, so that’s why I decided to close.
‘Now, a lot of people have been ringing me up and asking me “when are you going to open? I want a good curry”, so that’s why I reopened. They were happy to see me and I was happy to see them.

Gandhi Indian Takeaway in Fareham also opened at the beginning of May, after owner Abu-Suyeb Tanzam and his staff felt more comfortable to return to work.
He said: ‘I didn’t want to be closed, because I wanted to provide food for people, especially NHS heroes. They are working very hard for everyone.
‘In the end, we decided that we needed to come back and provide our services to the public, who deserve to get decent food.
