Restaurant in Cowplain donates part of its profits to charity
George Purnell, who owns Koop + Kraft, has picked meals and cocktails from the restaurant’s menu, which, when bought, will contribute £1 to charity.
The money will go to several charities – Solent Mind, Portsmouth Hive, Solent NHS and Naomi House – with the final charity chosen by diners via social media.

Hide AdA poll has been set up on the Koop + Kraft Facebook page, allowing people to vote for the charity they want to see the money go to.
George said: ‘A lot of charities have suffered badly because of Covid. We couldn’t support everyone, so we thought we’d pick four that were close to all of our hearts.’
The efforts have already raised £200 and the team is hoping to double this.
This isn’t the only charity work the restaurant has undertaken since the pandemic hit - they fed 50 teachers as well as delivering 150 meals to workers at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham.
