‘It has been a real pleasure and it’s good to hear all of the customers’ comments. It’s their community store and it’s their place to meet.’
The refurbishment was part of the cafe’s ‘store of the future’ design campaign, which has seen all its stores have a facelift over the last few years.
The old furniture was donated to MAKE Gosport – a community-based shared workshop for creative people – who will put the materials towards community projects to reduce waste.
