RMT strike could lead to travel chaos
The Rail Maritime and Transport union has called for its members to take industrial action over a long running dispute surrounding the future of train guards.
The 48 hour strike has been called to take place on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th October.

Hide AdThe union want a guarantee that all trains will be staffed by guards.
RMT General Secretary, Mick Cash, said SWR had not '˜come close' to making an offer to resolve the dispute.Â
SWR have previously stated that trains could still operate in '˜exceptional circumstances' even if no guard was available.
SWR said: '˜We are extremely disappointed that yet again the RMT has decided to disrupt the lives of customers and employees rather than participate in constructive talks.'
