Hampshire school holidays 2020: List of term dates as pupils return to lessons

Schools will be reopening but with new measures in place to make sure social distancing can be adhered to.
The government has confirmed students will need to wear face masks in corridors and communal areas in regions which have local lockdowns in place.

Hide AdAt the moment that does not include Hampshire, but headteachers will have ‘flexibility’ to introduce masks in their schools if they ‘believe that it is right in their particular circumstances’.
With children going back to school parents will be looking at the school holiday and term dates to see when they can book a break away.
Some airlines are also offering deals on flights as people look to get their holidays sorted as soon as possible.
Private schools will have their own term dates – please check with your child’s school to see what their school calendar looks like.

Here is the complete list of school holidays for Hampshire until the end of the 2020-2021 school year. This includes the dates for schools in Portsmouth, Gosport, Fareham, Havant, Waterlooville and Hayling Island.
Autumn term 2020 – from Thursday September 3 to Friday December 18
Half term – from Monday October 26 to Friday October 30
Christmas break – from Monday December 21 to Friday January 1

Half term – from Monday February 15 to Friday February 19
Easter Holiday – from Friday April 2 to Friday April 16
Summer term – from Monday April 19 to Friday July 23
Half term – from Monday May 31 to Friday June 4
While some families in the UK remain concerned about their children returning to classrooms a survey conducted by the Office for National Statistics said 90 per cent of parents indicated their children would be returning to school in September 2020.
