‘I just thought it would be a good way to raise money to help provide equipment for the hospital.’
After seeing doctors and nurses ‘going through a tough time at the moment’, Lee wanted to help ensure they remained adequately protected in their ongoing fight against the dangerous disease.
Lee said: ‘We have quite a lot of patients in the hospital at the moment with coronavirus and I wanted to help make sure there is enough personal protective equipment (PPE) where it is most needed.

‘I also want the money to be used to help provide ventilators for patients.’
After initially setting a target of £250, Lee has now raised more than £3,000.
‘I’ve been quite overwhelmed by it all,’ he said.
‘I have even had people I don’t know donating £100 – it’s quite mind blowing.
