She is taking part in the Sparkasse 3-Lander Marathon next month to raise money for hospital equipment.
It comes after her dad received life-saving treatment from the urology department at Queen Alexandra Hospital.

Her dad Colin said: '˜I have been treated in the urology department for nearly 18 months, and I expect they will be part of my life for the next few years. They are truly amazing, and have made me feel like I am part of that team, almost family.
'˜They have kept me alive since identifying my aggressive, untreatable bladder cancer. I am one of many cancer patients they regularly treat, but the team treat us as individuals.'
The money raised from Jess' challenge will go towards a Leonardo Mini Laser, which will enable surgeons to remove tumours.

'˜If we can raise the £5,000 then this mini-laser can be purchased, and it can be used by the hospital to save lives.
'˜It feels like two challenges; running the marathon and raising the funds.'
