Another old Portsmouth pub wiped out | Nostalgia
Once surrounded by terraced houses, 1960s’ demolition left the pub isolated until new building changed the landscape.
It was still open in the 1970s when St Mary’s Church – Portsea Island’s parish church – could be seen from wasteland.
