The Emirates Spinnaker Tower shone brightly in purple to mark the Stroke Association’s national awareness month, Make May Purple.
The charity is raising awareness of the impact of strokes and sharing information and advice on how to help prevent the condition.

A yellow reflection will be thrown over Gunwharf Quays and Portsmouth Harbour, creating a backdrop on waters synonymous with a rich naval history and the hundreds of rescues carried out by the local RNLI lifeboat station over the years.
Four RNLI volunteer crew members will abseil down the tower at about 4pm.
