Community continues to work to keep Eastney beach clean
The third beach clean event in the area attracted around 60 participants of all different ages who worked tirelessly to remove litter, boat debris and marine waste from the shore.
One Gosport family had collected almost two large bin bags in just over an hour.

Kev Rose, aged 43, said: '˜I think it's worrying how much rubbish there is.Â
'˜The beach is somewhere we all enjoy using so we should all keep it clean.'
His daughter Evie, 10, added: '˜We've found a lot of bottle lids and even a crisp packet from 2014.'

Hide AdFor organiser Phil Carpenter it was encouraging to see so many people take part. '˜We've had a mixture of ages today. From kids right up to the elderly which is great because sometimes younger adults don't get involved.
'˜We did have more people taking part at the last two beach cleans but I think the bad weather today has put people off. It's great that they've still come out though.
'˜Since the first clean in August you can really see the difference that we've made in terms of the rubbish on the beach.
'˜Hopefully people will continue to get involved.'
The next Eastney beach clean is scheduled for November 4 at 10am.
