CCTV images released after pickaxe robbery in North End Co-op store
A man approached the till brandishing a small pickaxe and made threats to the cashier before grabbing around £300 from the till and then damaged the store’s landline phone.
He has been described as white, slim, around 6ft 2ins tall and had a light grey scarf-type garment covering his head and the lower part of his face.

Hide AdHe was wearing mismatched gloves, black trainers, a black T-shirt with a distinctive design on the front and was carrying a black rucksack on his back.
Officers have released the CCTV images of a man they are looking to speak to in connection with the incident and are calling on the public to help identify him.
Detective Constable Michael Strangeway said: ‘We would like to speak to anyone who attended this store between 9pm and 9.35pm that night.
‘We’d like to know if you saw anyone matching the description of the offender, either inside or outside the store, or whether you saw anyone acting suspiciously.
