Drugs bust in Portsmouth over suspected cannabis farm sees man detained

A ‘successful’ drugs warrant carried out by two Portsmouth teams saw officers bust an address on Emsworth Road in the city.
It follows an ongoing investigation from officers into cannabis being dealt from the address .

Hide AdPolice stormed the property at 7.31am on Monday morning leading to a 29-year-old man from Portsmouth being captured.
He was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis, possession with intent to supply a Class B drug, and abstracting electricity.
A police spokeswoman said: ‘He remains in custody at this time.
‘A quantity of cannabis, cannabis plants, cash, and paraphernalia were seized.’
No charges have yet been reported.

Hide AdPortsmouth Police posted on Twitter: ‘Successful drugs warrant this morning conducted between two Portsmouth Central neighbourhood teams.’
The post added: ‘We can only action warrants with your help.
‘Please call 101 or crimestoppers if you think something is suspicious.’
