A 37-YEAR-OLD man from Gosport has been arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer on New Year’s Day.
Shaun Gareth Case, of Bittern Close, was arrested as police attended a disturbance in Spring Garden Lane, Gosport, at 12.20am on Friday, January 1.
An officer was assaulted during the call-out, which saw officers instructing the 37-year-old to leave the area.

Hide AdA spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘The officer was not injured in the assault.’

Case is due in Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Thursday, April 1.
