Leaders of Hampshire NHS groups condemn hate crimes against staff
Chief executives of NHS groups including Solent NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust along with commissioners including NHS Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group and NHS Fareham and Gosport Clinical Commissioning Group say they are ‘disheartened’ by the abuse that some staff have been subjected to.
Although Hampshire Constabulary says it has not noticed an increase in reported cases, several NHS staff have reported instances of abuse. The statement read: ‘We are joining hands to publicly express our support for each and every one of our workforce who work tirelessly to ensure local NHS services are the best they can be.‘We are disheartened to hear of the abuse some of our colleagues have been subjected to.’
