Suspected Portsmouth drunk-driver urinates through letter box at police

Officers were called after a Ford van collided with a fence in Locksway Road, Milton, at 12.51am on Sunday.
They were told by witnesses that the vehicle had driven off and that the driver had assaulted a 30-year-old man.

Hide AdA male suspect was identified and officers attended his suspected address on Stowe Road, Milton.
But the man refused to leave the property – with police saying he ‘barricaded’ himself in his own home.
A Facebook post from the Portsmouth police account said: ‘Officers attended an incident in Locksway Road following reports of a male believed to be under the influence of drink and/or drugs who had crashed into a fence causing criminal damage and subsequently assaulted a member of public before driving off again.
‘The suspect then barricaded himself in his home address, threatening to assault officers and urinated out of his own letterbox.

Hide Ad‘We will be catching up with this male in due course to deal with the offences...and we're also good at finding things, having located the offending vehicle which police have subsequently seized.’

A spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said the suspect had not been yet been arrested.
He said: ‘He was aggressive toward officers and refused to leave his address.
‘A Ford van was seized in relation to these offences.
‘The suspect has not yet been arrested due to the risks to officer safety if they had entered his address at that time.’
