WATCH: The moment Gosport shop window smashes when man punches and headbutts it late at night
Grahame March, owner of The Refill Centre on Stoke Road, has shared CCTV footage of the man breaking the window in the hopes that someone might recognise him and alert the authorities.
The incident happened at approximately 8.30pm last night.
A man approached the front shop window, punched it and then headbutted the window, smashing it completely.
The man then quickly left the scene.

Hide AdGrahame, who has owned the shop for 14 years, said: ‘I want to find out who has done this. A fellow shop owner on Stoke Road looked me up and contacted me after seeing the window broken.
‘I initially thought it was someone trying to steal something as we have laptops and things in the shop window, but when I arrived at half past 10, nothing had been taken.’
Police arrived shortly after and took forensic evidence from the scene.
Grahame stayed until 2.30am cleaning the shop. The businessman had to pay £300 to have the window boarded up and said he will now face a £600 bill to replace the window.

Hide AdGrahame said: ‘I immediately checked my CCTV footage and couldn’t believe it. A second video shows a group of five lads walking along the road. One of them appears to break off from the group and then you see him in my shop video, smashing the window.
‘Maybe they had argued, who knows? But we can’t let people get away with doing things like this. He looks to be in his early 20s but it is difficult to tell.
The man sustained injuries from the smash. Staff at a nearby pub helped to assist with his cuts.
Grahame added: ‘He did walk up to The White Hart pub and they patched him up. I’ve spoken with them but they didn’t catch a name. They must have thought he’d been in a fight or something. Somebody must know him. If you do, please get in touch or tell the police as people cannot get away with doing this.’
Anyone with information can call police on 101.
