Waterlooville man hospitalised after serious incident at Hampshire marine park

On Tuesday, July 21, emergency services were called to Hythe Marine Park in Hampshire after a man was unloading a lorry carrying metal beams, which hit him in the leg.
The 49-year-old man, from Waterlooville, was taken to Southampton for hospital treatment.

Hide AdA spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘A 49-year-old man from Waterlooville suffered a serious but not life-threatening injury after an accident whilst unloading metal beams from a lorry.
‘Officers have attended and gathered initial evidence.’
A spokesman from South Central Ambulance added: ‘We received a 999 call with the caller reporting an accident at an industrial unit at Hythe Marine Park, resulting in a male sustaining serious leg injuries.
‘We sent an ambulance to the incident and following initial treatment at the scene, the patient was then taken to Southampton.’
