They also said to: agree a budget and stick to it; not forget grandparents who may have been looking forward to seeing the children all year; discuss presents if you are separated from your child’s mother/father and resist the temptation to be competitive; be child focused and focus on their enjoyment.

Hide AdThey urged people to be thoughtful and to avoid feeling disgruntled or arguing over unwanted gifts, as this causes tension and unhappiness.
They said people should be kind to others and to themselves, plus if any situation is getting too much, leave the room.
