Fresh designs to improve Hill Head sea wall to go on display
The Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership is holding a drop-in exhibition at Holy Rood Church in Stubbington on Thursday, August 11, to outline its plans to improve the seawall at Hill Head.
The coastal engineers, working for Fareham Borough council are planning to carry out the work in two phases.

Councillor Keith Evans, executive member for planning at the borough council said: ‘I would advise anyone with an interest in the promenade to attend to find out more and speak directly to the officers overseeing the proposed works that will secure the promenade for future generations.’
The plans follow a botched £39,000 attempt to repair the defences in January this year that led to the ESCP heading back to the drawing board.
There are 33 beach huts based along the promenade which could be moved as part of the works for the site.

According to Councillor Sean Woodward, the project has already secured the funding needed for the project.
Residents are urged to head down for the meeting which will last from 1pm to 7pm at the church in Gosport Road.
