Chatty lap-cat with a chequered past needs a new home after care from Gosport Cats Protection
and live on Freeview channel 276
The volunteer-run Gosport Branch of Cats Protection is seeking a new home for nine-year-old Bella who has been receiving veterinary care since October to treat a skin condition.
The condition is now under control and a simple combination of a hypoallergenic diet and easily-administered steroid tablets will keep her in good health.

Hide AdBella had a difficult life before arriving with the branch: she had multiple owners, numerous litters of kittens and, during one of her recent appointments, the branch’s vet discovered that she had been shot with an air gun in the past as the pellet had moved to the surface of her skin.
Branch co-ordinator Kate Stapleford said: ‘Bella is a real lap cat and full of character. She loves company and attention but will tell you if she thinks you're not playing by her rules. Bella's a chatty girl and squeaks like a bird which is so endearing.
‘Cardboard scratching boards are possibly Bella's favourite thing, after company of course, and she enjoys scratching them or simply sitting on them.’
Bella was featured in the branch’s shoebox appeal over Christmas, which saw volunteers overwhelmed with the amount of donations, and staff are hopeful of finding her a home.

‘She needs to be the only pet in the home because she won't stand for sharing and being the focus of attention is perfect for her.
‘An adult home would suit Bella best so that she can truly settle and enjoy plenty of affection from her new owners.’
Like all Cats Protection cats, Bella has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date with vaccinations as well as flea and worm treatments.
