Farm welcomes birth of twin goats
Butser Ancient Farm staff member Tiffany Francis discovered the two boys on Monday, and they are the sons of the farm’s English female goat Sorrel.
At just a few hours old, the pair were already exploring their paddock and ‘tiptoeing out into the rain’ under Sorrel’s watchful eye.

Hide AdStaff at the farm in Waterlooville said that based on past experiences the next couple of months will likely be full of mischief and mayhem, as the two goats ‘find every opportunity to escape their paddock and explore the site’.
The twins have not yet been named, but the botanical naming tradition is more than likely to be followed to match the names of the other three goats, Sorrel, Yarrow and Comfrey. Staff are encouraging people to go to the farm, and visit the new arrivals.
Butser Ancient Farm, on Chalton Lane, is open seven days a week.
