and live on Freeview channel 276
An alert call was put out at 11.30am this morning (June 19) after the Coastguard received reports of people in the water. Ryde Coastguard team was already in the Solent taking part in an exercise drill and so was first on the scene, and was supported by Hillhead Coastguard.
The rescue team was able to right the dinghy and pluck the two people from the water before accompanying them ashore. The pair were medically assessed and were deemed to be okay.
