Win for Solent wildlife group
Bird Aware Solent, which works to protect coastal birds, won the ‘Planning for the Natural Enivornment’ at the National Planning Awards at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London.
Bird Aware Solent was founded in 2014 and consists of four conservation groups
and 15 local authorities.

thrilled that Bird Aware Solent has been recognised for this award.
‘The initiative is vital as it helps to protect 125,000 birds, including curlew and brent geese, that spend the winter in the region every year.’
