Decision on plans for student homes in Portsmouth delayed a week
A scheduled virtual planning committee meeting that was due to take place today (June 3) has been postponed until June 10 to ensure it can be 'fully accessed by residents, elected members and the wider community.'
During the meeting three planning applications were set to be considered including one for 21 student homes in Middle Street, in Somers Town, and another for seven new flats in Kingston Road in Buckland.

Hide AdA Portsmouth City Council spokesman said: 'To ensure that the online platform for hosting committee meetings is robust and can be fully accessed by residents, elected members and the wider community, the decision has been made to delay the planning committee meeting until the June 10.'
Only one other public council meeting has been held virtually during the coronavirus pandemic - a full council meeting on May 19 at which the city's new Lord Mayor was selected.
Members of the public can watch the meeting at 2pm on June 10 via the council website.
