Gritters to be deployed on Hampshire's roads this weekend '“Â but don't expect any snow to fall
Hampshire County Council has said its lorries will be doing a test salt run between 7am and 1pm, in preparation for cold weather this winter.
The lorries have become a common feature of the county's roads when snow has fallen, including in March this year.

Hide AdHampshire Highways team tweeted: '˜Our yellow salt lorries will be out on the roads between 07:00 and 13:00 this Saturday 6th October carrying out a test salt run exercise in preparation for winter.
'˜Give the guys a wave if you happen to see them out and about.'
Forecasters Exacta Weather had predicted that the UK could face '˜four months of snow' this winter, but the Met Office later poured cold water on that claim.
