Upgraded Stubbington play area is a big hit with pupils who helped design it
The park, behind Crofton Community Centre, in Stubbington Lane, Stubbington, has recently undergone a revamp by Wicksteed Leisure, paid for by Fareham Borough Council.
Pupils from Crofton Anne Dale Junior School were delighted to try out the new kit yesterday.

Hide AdElliot Stevens, 11, and his friend Jacob Bradley, 11, both from Year 6, were particularly keen on the new inclusive roundabout.
Elliott said: ‘I have been to this park quite a few times and it has been modified quite a bit and that’s impressive.
‘The roundabout is definitely my “go-to piece”.’
Josie Asquith, 10, and her friend Tia Clarke, 10, both from Year 6, were also equally impressed.
Josie, who also helped come up with the design at school last year, said: ‘I walk past here when I walk my dog in the park but I have never been in here before, but I like the spinning thing and the rope swing.’

Hannah, from Petersfield, was visiting her mother and said they often enjoyed coming out to the park.
She said: ‘It feels like a nice, big space where they can run around safely and there’s lots of different things to do for all ages.’
The new equipment was praised by councillor Sue Bell, the executive member for leisure and community.

‘It is fantastic – lovely and colourful with a variation of equipment – and it is well used.
‘We are really pleased with the play area that we have now got here.’
The Segensworth play area has also been upgraded, and the council is looking to put in new kit in Fareham North West, in Drake Close and at the new Holly Hill Leisure Centre, in Sarisbury Green.
