Pensioner in life-threatening condition after Havant beach buggy accident

South Central Ambulance Service says the 65-year-old was riding the buggy yesterday when she became trapped.
The woman was rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, where medics say she remains in a life-threatening condition.

Hide AdA spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said: ‘We were called to reports of a woman who had been injured whilst using an open-top vehicle.
‘The 65-year-old female had a scarf wrapped around her neck and had become trapped in the vehicle.
‘We sent a rapid-response paramedic and an ambulance to the scene.
‘The patient was treated at the scene by crews. The woman was rushed to QA hospital in a life threatening condition and left in the care of the hospital resus team.’
