Rail company prepares for conductors' strike
Southern Railway will cut services by 40 per cent from its normal timetable from Monday to Friday, August 12 inclusive.
Services are likely to start at about 7am and finish much earlier than usual at 6pm if the issue is not resolved at Acas today, and some routes will be scrapped completely during the period. RMT must call off the strike by Thursday afternoon if Southern Railway are to avoid a strike timetable.
