Were you one of those who sniffed a victory in Portsmouth in 2012?
It was clear from the beginning of Victorious that Portsmouth was on to a winner.
Of course, back in 2012 it was the two-V festival –Victorious Vintage – a fledgling two-day bash which drew an astonishing 35,000 people within the walls of the Historic Dockyard.

Hide AdFew expected numbers of that magnitude, but it showed there was an appetite for something much larger in the city.
And so we move to this weekend’s Victorious with headliners such as Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Manic Street Preachers, Travis and Editors expected to play to about 120,000 on Southsea Common.
As reported in The News, the organisers hope next year’s, with music over three days and camping thrown in, might draw 200,000.
