Fareham & Crofton romp to Hampshire District League victory over Bedhampton Mariners
Replying to the visitors’ 156-9 at Bath Lane, Wimble struck 51 after seeing his opening partner Thomas Kent dismissed without troubling the scorers.
Viraat Sahu (13) helped Wimble add 61 for the second wicket, before Stoddart (53 not out) and Steve Berryman (16 not out) sealed an emphatic seven-wicket win with almost half their 40 overs in hand.

Gosport Borough 2nds skipper Gavin King was in a hurry for the second week running as his side defeated Solent Rangers.
The previous week, King had struck 13 boundaries in an unbeaten 67 as Gosport hammered Purbrook 2nds by 10 wickets in a Hampshire District League County F encounter.
He followed that up by hitting an unbeaten 88 - including 17 fours - as Gosport defeated Solent by six wickets with almost 14 overs in hand.

Hide AdAgainst Purbrook, Jordyn Dore had impressed with the new ball - conceding no runs off his four overs and taking two wickets.
It was his fellow opening bowler Alex Campbell (3-28) that made early inroads against Solent, dismissing openers Sani Varghesse and Vineeth Thomas for ducks.
Anurag Sharma hit back with 68 before Nathan Titchener (3-21) snared him.
Scott Taylor (3-28) picked up three late wickets as Solent were dismissed for 135 in 28.3 overs.

Hide AdThere were defeats for Burridge 3rds and 4ths in Regional L of the Hampshire District Leagues.
It was a second successive loss for both sides, and both still await their first competitive win of 2020.
Emily Roberts picked up a wicket as the 3rds were beaten by four wickets by Old Netley & Highfield.
She claimed 1-23 off her three overs but the visitors had almost nine overs in hand when they passed their 185 victory target.

Hide AdOpener Greg Wilkins (59 not out) was still there at the close, having received good support from No 8 Matthew Scragg, who belted six fours and a three in hitting 27 not out off just seven balls.
Earlier, Burridge had reached 119-2 before three wickets tumbled for no runs.
Captain Dominic Osbourne - who top scored with 52 - was dismissed while Alison Burgess claimed the wickets of Roger Attrill (29) and Connor Lacey (0).
Anish Joshi hit two sixes and three fours in a breezy 32 before Burridge were all out for 184 with three balls remaining of their 40 overs.

He was one of Steve Bowers’ four victims (6-1-16-4) as Burridge lost wickets at regular intervals.
Lee Payne was 35 not out as Knight’s Valley took their time in reply - there were just over four of their 40 overs remaining when they completed a six-wicket success.
