Waterlooville skipper Shephard leads from the front in Southern Premier League Cup derby win at Hambledon
Batting at No 3, Shepherd hit four sixes in an unbeaten 66 as the visitors passed Hambledon’s 188-9 total with four balls left of their 40 overs.
He had support from Max Goddard (22), Matt Shaw (22) and wicket-keeper Dave Connolly (20).

Hide AdEarlier, Henry Glanfield continued his fine start to 2020 by top scoring with 46. The Norwegian international has now scored 193 runs in three SPL Cup ties and has only been dismissed once.
Chris Pratt (40) helped Glanfield add 80 for the third wicket before both top scorers were dismissed by Haydn Knight (2-27).
Archie Reynolds took 2-25 off eight tight overs, but in all Waterlooville bowlers conceded 24 wides.
Jack Pearce (2-25) and Glanfield (2-38) were Hambledon’s most successful bowlers.

Skipper Harry McBride belted an unbeaten 90 as Ville amassed 284-5 off their 40 overs.
Kevin Sawyer then took 4-9 off five overs as Bedhampton were skittled out for 80 in their Regional Division P encounter.
Jake Charman hit 87 for Ville after opener Daryl Gault had struck 38.
