Newer at the double as Harvest Home beat FC Strawberry to lift the Hampshire FA Vase
Remi Cake and skipper Jake Daniels were also on target as Harvest retained the silverware they had won in the 2018/19 season when it was known as the Hampshire Intermediate Cup.
The two clubs were Mid-Solent League rivals last season when they both reached the final.

It was by no means one-way traffic throughout, but Harvest were the sharper of the two teams and had the extra quality going forward.
Harvest won all 21 of their completed games in 2019/20 before the season was halted.
They had started the campaign beating Strawberry 1-0 to lift the Billy Hill Cup.

Hide AdNewer was the scorer that day, and he needed only six minutes to put Harvest into the lead.
Craig Ralph did well to lay on the chance, and Newer struck his shot confidently with the outside of his foot past keeper Kevin Dixey and into the far corner.
Strawberry - beaten three times by Harvest in 2019/20 - could have levelled within a minute but Billy Cobb shot wide from a good position.
Daniels was put through by Ralph on 18 minutes but Dixey was out quickly to block with his legs on the edge of the penalty area.

He failed to hold Daniels’ 35-yard free-kick and Newer reacted quickly to fire home the rebound from close range.
Dixey remained the busier of the keepers in the second half, with Strawberry rarely seriously testing Tom Roxborough in the Harvest goal.
Dixey raced off his line to deny Charlie Deluchi while Luke Steere half-volleyed over from close range.

A nice passing move ended with Daniels blasting home a fourth goal in the closing stages.
Strawberry had the final say, however, when Roxborough beat out a fierce Connor Mansfield effort and skipper Brett Lloyd headed in from within the six-yard box.
Overall, though, Strawberry could have few complaints about the margin of victory.

Hide AdDaniels, Deluchi and Newer were a constant threat, while Steve Morris and Lee Caldwell were strong in the centre of the Harvest defence.
Harvest boss Ray Ogilvie was therefore able to add a Saturday Hampshire Cup to the Sunday one he lifted with Co-op Dragons in 2016/17.
He wasn’t the only one to do that – Newer, Ralph, Steere, Deluchi and Mitchell Cowan were all in that Dragons team as well.
Harvest: Roxborough, Cowan, Caldwell, Morris, Griffin, Steere, Deluchi (Martin), Daniels, Ralph (Byrne), Cake, Newer (Davies).
Strawberry: Dixey, Hoare, Backhouse, Lloyd, Maddison, Holt (Fidler), Barnes, Saville, Sergeant (Shrubsall), Mansfield, Cobb (Nowell).
