EFL join campaign for parliament to debate fans' return to games as Portsmouth, Sunderland, Ipswich, Hull City and others face ruin

National League South outfit Dorking Wanderers yesterday launched the petition, which is showing support for supporters to return to football with clubs facing meltdown amid the coronavirus crisis.
A huge 60,000 signatures have now been amassed at the time of writing, with 100,000 needed for it to be considered for debate in parliament.

Hide AdNow the EFL have shown their support with their members facing ruin if steps aren’t immediately taken to tackle their dire situations.
The league this evening retweeted the petition, which has contributed to the number of people throwing the support behind the bid accelerating by the minute.
Pompey have come out on the front foot as part of an orchestrated campaign by the league to underline the perilous position clubs face.
