Johnson leaves Accy after three successful years – a period that saw him accumulate 119 appearances and become a firm favourite among the Wham Stadium fans.
On Twitter, the Pompey new-boy thanked the Accrington faithful for their support and helping to create some wonderful memories, following his switch to the south coast.
He said: ‘Thank you @ASFCofficial for an unbelievable 3 years I will never forget.
‘You have given me memories that will stay with me forever.
