Hide AdUefa announced it aims for all European leagues to be completed by June 30, but it remains to be seen if this can be fulfilled as the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic continues.
If the term goes into July, it means Pompey face the prospect of losing players that are out of contract on June 30.
Permanents include Christian Burgess, Lee Brown, Brett Pitman and Oli Hawkins, while the loan spells of Sean Raggett (Norwich), Ross McCrorie (Rangers), Cameron McGeehan (Barnsley) and Steve Seddon (Birmingham) are due to expire at the end of the original season.
Consequently, it would leave the Blues with a crisis as they’d have to complete their League One promotion push with depleted numbers.

Pompey would still have to pay players whose contract come to an end for an additional 28 days if they did depart but couldn't find another team.
And if they found a new side but were on less money, then the Blues would have to make up the difference of their previous wage until the end of July.
