Portsmouth defender announces departure after 13 years at Fratton Park

The homegrown defender revealed his 13 years at the club has come to an end.
Kavanagh, from Cowplain, skippered the academy last season which earned him third-year scholarship terms at his boyhood club.

Hide AdThe right-back, a former North Stand season-ticket holder, featured twice for Pompey this season in their Papa John’s Trophy campaign against West Ham under-21s and Peterborough.
He also had a spell on loan at Gosport Borough but that was halted because of the coronavirus crisis which ground non-elite sport to a halt.
And coming towards the end of his contract, Kavanagh’s been told he will not be handed fresh terms at PO4.
Kavanagh wrote on Twitter: ‘Extremely mixed emotions but my 13 years at this club has come to an end.
