Portsmouth play-off clash with Oxford United set to be given TV enhancement

The Blues’ bid to reach the Championship will be shown live on Sky Sports this Friday evening and, unlike play-off games to date, the viewing experience will utilise piped-in noise of supporters.
Artificial crowd noise has been a surprise hit since football’s return amid the coronavirus crisis.

Hide AdWith fans unable to attend, broadcasters have explored options of compensating for games being played at empty stadiums.
Cutouts of fans, goal music and flags have all been used with different levels of success, but it’s the crowd feature which has largely been received well.
EA Sports Fifa have partnered up with broadcasters to create bespoke crowd noise specific to the sides being featured.
It remains to be seen if that will be the case for the game with Sky’s coverage beginning from 5pm with kick-off at 5.30pm

Hide AdSky have offered viewers the choice of whether they want to watch games with crowd noise or not since the game’s return.
The Oxford game will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event HD, which has tended to use the enhancement, and simultaneously broadcasted on Sky Sports Football HD.
Pompey have already asked supporters to donate their flags and banners which will be draped across all four stands.
The Blues are already offering the chance for fans to have cutouts of themselves at the game in their absence.
