The Wembley confirmation Portsmouth fans have been receiving over the future of Leasing.com Trophy final trip to face Salford City

The 50,000-plus Blues fans who snapped up seats in record-breaking fashion for the Wembley meeting with Salford City, have been receiving their tickets in the post.
It’s confirmation for fans that they will get their trip to the home of football amid the uncertainty faced through the coronavirus crisis.

Hide AdThe delivery has provided fans with a pick-me-up as they remain in lockdown and without the prospect of football for at least the next six weeks.
Contained in the letter is an information sheet outlining what will happen moving forward over the final.
As well as stating a new final date will be confirmed as soon as possible, the sheet outlines fans who can’t make the clash will be able ask for a refund when the date is announced. Refunds will then be considered by the clubs on as case-by-case basis.

Hide Ad‘As we’re sure you’re aware, the final was scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, April 5 has been postponed given the escalating situation in respect of Covid-19.
‘A new date will be agreed and published as soon as possible.
Please retain you enclosed tickets(s) as these will remain valid for the rescheduled final.
Once a new date has been confirmed, any fan who is unable to attend can request a refund for the face value of the ticket. Refunds will be considered by the finalist club on a case-by-case basis.
Further details on this process will be communicated the EFL and the finalist clubs in due course.’
