Ticket update after Portsmouth's Wembley return against Salford postponed

The Blues’ return to the home of football for their encounter with League Two Salford on Sunday, April 5, was postponed by the EFL on Wednesday because of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
But the plan remains for the Fratton faithful to still have their day out at the national stadium when the game is eventually rearranged.

Hide AdThe league’s governing body met this week to discuss possible outcomes to the 2019-20 season, with all games now postponed until at least April 30 following the latest emergency meeting of the Premier League.
There’s a commitment to finishing the campaign, subject to the over-riding priority around health and well-being.
But a potential date for the staging of the EFL Trophy final remains a long way off at present.
It’s means many fans’ plans remain up in the air, with the Blues selling in excess of 50,000 tickets for the tie.

Hide AdSupporters are being asked to contact the club ticket office if they are unable to attend any new date.
Yet for those still able to make their presence felt at another Wembley day out, the news is their original ticket purchases will remain valid.
A statement on Pompey's website said: ‘The EFL board has agreed that the Leasing.com Trophy final, scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, April 5, should be postponed given the escalating situation in respect of Covi-19.
This is appropriate given the scale and significance of the event to the football calendar, new sponsor Leasing.com, the EFL, both clubs involved and their supporters.

Hide Ad‘Over 50,000 tickets have been sold for the showpiece final and the EFL does not want to be in a position whereby many thousands of supporters are forced to change their plans at late notice, so the decision has been taken in the best interest of all parties
‘All tickets will remain valid for the new date. Once this date has been announced, fans who can no longer attend should contact the ticket office
‘All ticket holders will be notified of the new date as soon as possible.’
