New high for Lloyd
The 16-year-old, from Gosport, produced his best national under-21 competition result so far in the second leg at Cueball Derby.
After progressing through the group stages as one of the best third-placed players, Lloyd cleared the table for a personal best 113 to wrap up a 4-2 last-16 victory over Stoke’s Brandon Sargeant.

Hide AdHe then defeated Thomas Lancastle, from Oldbury, 4-3, before losing 4-2 to eventual tournament winner Lewis Gillen, from Leeds.
Lloyd, who leads the Cuestars south of England under-21 gold tour, said: ‘I had a new tip on at the start of the week and had limited practice due to college work so I’m pleased with the results.’
