Former England under-19 captain Joe Weatherley commits future to Hampshire
The 23-year-old has put pen to paper on an new deal, committing his future to the club.
Weatherley is a product of Hampshire’s player pathway system and represented the club at age group and academy level.

Hide AdHe has previously captained England under-19s and established himself as a first team regular at the Ageas Bowl.
Speaking on his extended Hampshire deal, Weatherley said: ‘I absolutely love playing for Hampshire and being an academy product means a lot to me.
‘I’m looking forward to an exciting 2020 with the club and beyond as we push for silverware.’
Hampshire director of cricket Giles White said: ‘Joe is a good young player with a genuine appetite for scoring runs, so it’s great news for the club and obviously exciting for him too.
‘Joe has come through our player pathway system and he’s demonstrated his ability at this level over the last couple of years.
‘He’ll be keen to push on and cement his spot in the side this season.’
