Only two more Hampshire Road Race League events remain after hat-trick of coronavirus-related cancellations
Due to the Covid-19 crisis, the eighth scheduled race - the Salisbury 10 mile - was cancelled at the weekend.
The next two events - the Alton 10 mile on May 3 and the Netley 10k a fortnight later - have also been called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Hide AdAt present, that just leaves the Lordshill 10k on June 14 and the season finale, the Alresford 10k, the following weekend.
Ryde Harriers’ Joe Wade is currently heading the men’s results out of the 551 runners whose scores count in the HRRL. He has only entered three of the seven races so far, but has won them all.
He has triumphed in the Victory 5 in December, the Stubbington 10k in January and his home event, the Ryde 10 mile, in February.
Club colleague Gary Marshall is second, having finished 14th (but third from competing HRRL clubs) at the Gosport half and third in his home event last time out on February 2.

Hide AdThe highest placed Portsmouth area runner is eighth-placed Lewis Banner of Stubbington Green. He was 14th (but seventh from competing HRRL clubs) in the Gosport half and 19th in his local Stubbington 10k on January 12.
Former Commonwealth Games athlete Louise Damen heads the women’s rankings having won both her two events - the Gosport Half and the Stubbington 10k.
Winchester AC clubmate Tamsin Anderson is third after two wins in three races - her successes coming in the Gosport Half and the Hayling 10 mile.
Portsmouth AC’s Emma Jolley is fifth overall out of 456 runners.
