Portsmouth RFC host girls section open day this Sunday
In a bid to start working towards creating a flourishing girls academy, the club will be putting on a series of taster days in the coming months for players aged between 4-18 at Rugby Camp.
Harlequins' Elle Bloor and several members of the Portsmouth Valkyries squad - the club's senior women's team - will be passing on tips at the first session which runs from 10am-noon this weekend.

Portsmouth's junior girls section head coach, Matt Mitchell, said: 'The main thing is to get as many girls to the club to meet the Valkyries.
‘It’s a chance for the girls to see role models within Valkyries, and see other girls within the club.
‘The day is going to be around the fundamentals of rugby so passing the ball, kicking the ball, catching the ball and just having some fun and bonding.
