Isle of Wight Festival dragon boat races raise £60,000 for cancer charity
Boyzone’s Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch, actor Nicholas Pinnock and singer Caroline Corrwere among those taking part.
Twenty teams battled it out in Island Harbour in an action packed fun-filled day.

Hide AdIsle of Wight Festival promoter John Giddings, festival partners and national organisations such as Hard Rock Cafe, Ticketmaster, Live Nation, Heineken, WightLink and WPP also joined in. The event was sponsored by Unbranded, the festival’s food and drink partner.
Claire Rowney, the director of Stand Up To Cancer, thanked the organisers and said: ‘The Dragon Boat Race has been such an incredible kick-off to what we know will be an epic partnership with the Isle of Wight Festival.
‘This £60,000 is a huge contribution to cancer research and will help accelerate getting treatments to cancer patients more quickly.’
