Steeleye Span still spreading the folk legacy
A mainstay of Britain’s folk revival in the 1960s, Steeleye Span have rarely faltered in their devotion to uphold the traditional motifs of the genre, even in their more experimental latter-day works, including a collaboration with the late, great Sir Terry Pratchett on Wintersmith in 2013.
Steeleye Span still appear to maintain their intensely creative flair, having spent the lion’s share of the year writing new material for their forthcoming 23rd studio album.
